Product Overview

The PIV Series from Soler & Palau is a whole-house positive input ventilation (PIV) solution designed for dwellings where a traditional whole-house ventilation system cannot be installed.

The unit operates by drawing fresh air from the attic space—where temperatures are typically higher than outdoor air—filtering it, and gently supplying it into the home via a central hallway diffuser. This process helps reduce condensation, control humidity, and improve overall indoor air quality.

For enhanced comfort during colder months, the PIV unit incorporates an automatic 500 W pre-heating battery that warms incoming air when required. Intelligent airflow regulation adapts ventilation rates based on attic temperature, ensuring energy-efficient operation and consistent comfort throughout the year.

An oversized G4 air filter, covering three sides of the unit (270°), increases dust-holding capacity and extends maintenance intervals. The system is powered by a low-energy EC (DC) motor and offers four selectable operating modes to suit different dwelling sizes and occupancy patterns.

The PIV BP version includes an external air by-pass, allowing the unit to draw air directly from outside when attic temperatures exceed 25°C, preventing unwanted overheating of the dwelling.

Key Benefits

  • Improves indoor air quality and reduces condensation
  • Ideal for properties unsuitable for full MVHR systems
