Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find the correct replacement filter for my specific MVHR model?

Check the manufacturer and exact model number of your MVHR unit before ordering. Filter dimensions and grades vary between units, even from the same manufacturer.
Can filters be washed and reused?

Only if the manufacturer states that the filter is washable. Many MVHR filters are disposable and should be replaced rather than washed.
Does a blocked filter reduce heat recovery efficiency?

A heavily blocked filter can restrict airflow and affect the overall performance of the MVHR system. Regular filter checks help maintain correct airflow and efficient operation.
How often should MVHR filters be replaced?

Filters should generally be checked every 3–6 months and are commonly replaced around every 6–12 months, although the manufacturer's maintenance instructions should always take priority.
Can I use a generic filter or do I need the manufacturer's brand?

Compatible alternatives may be suitable if they have the correct dimensions and filtration specification. Always ensure the replacement meets the requirements of your MVHR unit.
