Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are MVHR controllers and sensors used for?

MVHR controllers and sensors are used to manage how a ventilation system operates. They can help adjust fan speeds, activate boost modes or respond to humidity, occupancy or CO2 levels depending on the product.

  • Are MVHR controllers and sensors universal?

No, many controllers and sensors are designed for specific MVHR units or manufacturers. Always check compatibility before purchasing.

  • Can a CO2 or air quality sensor be added to an existing MVHR system?

Some MVHR systems support additional CO₂, humidity or air-quality sensors. Compatibility depends on the unit and its control system.

  • What's the difference between a wired and a wireless controller?

A wired controller connects directly to the ventilation unit, while a wireless controller communicates without a physical control cable. Available functions vary by system.

  • Can I control my MVHR system remotely or via an app?

Many modern MVHR units offer Wi-Fi or app control, but this depends on the model and may require an additional communication module.
