Slate vent suitable for natural and fiber slates (600mm x 300mm & 500mm x 250mm)
Ideal for heat recovery and other ventilation systems using up to 150mm ducting from MVHR unit
Provides 20,000mm² (20k) of air flow per unit
Slate grey cap blends in with most man-made or natural slates

What are external air valves used for?

External air valves, grilles and terminals are used as the outside connection point for ventilation ductwork, they allow air to enter or leave the property while helping protect the duct opening.
What is the difference between an internal and external air valve?

Internal air valves are fitted inside the property, usually on ceilings or walls. External air valves or terminals are fitted outside the property, such as on an external wall, roof or soffit.
Do external air valves need insect mesh?

Some external grilles and cowls include insect mesh to help reduce the risk of insects entering the duct.
What size external vent do I need to match my ducting?

The external vent should be compatible with the duct diameter and capable of handling the required airflow without excessive resistance.
Do external vents need regular cleaning or maintenance?

Yes. External vents should be checked periodically for leaves, dirt, insects or other obstructions that could restrict airflow.
