The Zehnder Caladair Freetime First Eco 1500 is a high-performance, energy-efficient heat recovery unit, specifically designed for commercial applications. It offers flexible zoning options and can be integrated into various heating and cooling solutions.

Additional Zoning Options

Optional extras are available for controlling zones via Caladair Commercial Units. Zones are controlled with electric duct dampers and can be operated through several solutions:

• PIR Sensor – Detects occupation and increases airflow.
• CO₂ Sensor – Detects high CO₂ levels and increases airflow.
• Wall Switch – Increases airflow when the switch is pressed.
• Light – Increases airflow when the light is switched on.
• BMS (Building Management System) – Increases or decreases airflow in zoned areas via the BMS system.
• Dampers can be set to various airflow rates when open or closed.

Heating & Cooling Accessories

Available accessories for heating and cooling include:

• Electric Preheater – Prevents frost from affecting the unit.
• Electric Post Heater – Increases room temperature.

Filtration

Construction

• Outer Construction: Airtight 10-gauge galvanized steel double-skin panels with 25mm high-density mineral wool insulation in accordance with EN1886.
• External Face: Pre-lacquered with a protective film in RAL 7035.
• Connections: Circular branch connections with rubber seals. Airtight construction to ATEC CSTB n° 13-224-12.
• Mounting: Crimped hanging brackets for ceiling mounting.

Heat Exchanger

• Highly efficient aluminium counter-flow heat exchanger that provides up to 90% heat recovery, designed for lifetime use.

Motors

• 2x low energy, high-efficiency backward curved EC motors with heat and speed protection.

Installation

• The unit is horizontally mounted on the ceiling or floor and comes with adjustable hanging brackets to secure to the frame or concrete ceiling. Ensure the structure can support the unit's weight.
• Condensate Drain: 15mm BSP metal pipe provided on the side of the unit for connection to a drain via a waterless trap.

Dimensions

Installation of Ductwork

We recommend Metal Spiral ducting and fittings for superior strength. To ensure optimal airtightness and durability, use self-sealing fittings or a combination of Ducting Sealant and Aluminium Duct Sealing Tape.

In addition to a choice of compatible ducting systems, a full range of controls, sensors, in-line silencers, and floor/wall/ceiling inlet and outlet diffusers are available to complete your installation.
