It is important that both end-users and installers know how to correctly operate any ventilation system installed and to help we can offer the following services.

Installation Starter Course

The Free installation starter course that can be competed at our premises or at one of our suppliers training rooms is set over 1 day combines theoretical training and practical exercises to provide first time installers with the information and skills to install any of the common types of domestic ventilation systems safely and efficiently (this is a non-qualified course).

Air Meter (anemometer) Starter course

This free air meter course combines theoretical training and practical exercises to provide first time installers with the information and skills to test system performance with an air meter safely and efficiently (this is a non-qualified course).

NCIC Training Course

Provided by a NCIC training academy is this 2-day comprehensive course is ideal for experienced electricians, plumbers, ventilation installers and heating engineers looking to join a competent person’s scheme and upon completion, you will have the necessary skills in design, installation, testing, commissioning, handover, servicing and fault-finding of ventilation systems in accordance with the latest National Occupational Standard (NOS) and Minimum Technical Competency documents (MTC). Installers will also learn why ventilation is important, the different methods used to install different ventilation systems, the pitfalls of poor installation and misuse of ventilation systems and basic system design and preparation needed prior to installation.

Once you have completed the course, you will have the required qualification to register with the NICEIC competent person’s scheme. You will have the scheme explained to you and your questions about the scheme answered during the course.

BPC provide a discounted rate for several NICEIC approved training facilities located throughout the UK that can provide the NICEIC Ventilation Installer Training Scheme (not available in-house or site).
