This unit is ideally suited for high quality new build or high-end renovation to 3-to4-bedroom housing with a maximum floor area of 260m2
BPC are MVHR specialists and the original developers of MVHR kits in the Uk and Ireland with lifetime technical support on our top-quality systems
Optional Compact external 2-zone control
The 2-zone control for the supply to the home is provided by the compact iAV valves. A valve is provided for each branch to the various zones.
With external 2-zone control, the house is divided into a day and night zone.
This zonal control is based on CO2 and humidity. It only provides ventilation where and when needed, in the right amount.
Zonal ventilation ensures maximum energy savings and increases acoustic and thermal comfort.
Discover the 4 benefits of the multi-zone valve:
1) Compact installation
The multi-zone valves are installed in the supply ducts (D125 or D160) and require only 78 mm clearance. They can be used at any point in the duct system. The installer can make his own choice according to ease of installation, accessibility, …
2) Energy savings
When using zonal ventilation, we don't ventilate a whole home but only the rooms where people actually are. This means our systems need to work less hard, which results in substantial lower energy consumption (40%) from the ventilation unit as well as the heating system.
3) Quieter operation
Reduced motor rotation which ensures a significantly quieter operation (30%).
4) Enhanced thermal comfort
Thanks to the unique principle of comfort temperature setting, you can define the temperature for each zone yourself, for example 21.5° for the day zone and 18° for the night zone. This provides significantly increased thermal comfort.
*The iAV valves require 24v power from the additional Duco power supply to operate
Motors
With the Duco high performance constant pressure motors, you can achieve a more constant airflow irrespective of resistance and a 50% saving on calibration time
Electronic orientation change
This unit is very user-friendly because physical interventions are not necessary. The left/right exchange is carried out 100% by software thanks to a patented principle of double by-pass.
External Control Components
The DucoBox Energy Comfort can be linked with the following external control components.
Humidity Sensor
This sensor is placed in the extract air duct (ETA) of the DucoBox Energy Comfort and centrally measures the humidity of the air extracted from the house.
Smart Demand User controller
There are 3 types of User controllers are available in either wireless or wired versions and in black or white face plates
- Remote control (popular option)
- Remote Control with CO2 sensor
- Remote control with Humidity Sensor
The wired version will require the additional 24v Power supply
Duco Connectivity Board
The Duco Connectivity Board enables the Duco Installation App to be used on your phone or tablet
This PCB also enables interfacing for home automation and building management systems via REST API (locally or via the cloud) or Modbus TCP (locally). Both possible via Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
CO2 Room Sensors
The CO2 Room sensor is available in either wireless or wired versions and with black or white face plates
Switch Sensor
The Switch Sensor can perform either or both of the following functions:
Switch detection: the ventilation system will perform a function when closing a (two-pole) dry
contact. Suitable for toilet detection or overrule setting (only one function per switch sensor).
Repeater: the switch sensor is ideally suited as a repeater to strengthen the signal in the event of RF communication problems. In that case the switch sensor must be positioned in such a way that the distance to be bridged and/or interference by obstacles is reduced.

Pre Heater
The Pre-heater is a frost protection based on an electrical resistance of up to 1425W that can optionally be applied in the ODA connection of DucoBox Energy Comfort (Plus). The resistance is modulation controlled based on various temperature readings in the ventilation unit.
The heater is attached between the unit and the air duct via connectors.
24v Power Supply
The Duco Power Supply 230VAC-24VDC/20W is the best solution to power Duco Wired components from a central 230V connection. The component comes with a surface-mounted junction box as standard. The sum of the peak power of all connected DUCO components can be 20W at most when using one Power Supply.
OPTIONS & ACCESSORIES
Floor Mounting Chair
In situations where wall mounting of the DucoBox Energy Comfort (Plus) is not possible, this support frame enables floor mounting with the use of the waterless trap
Waterless Trap siphon
This waterless trap with a flat diaphragm siphon has a height of only 64 mm saves space and has less of a risk of air leaks. The siphon can be installed ‘dry’ and does not dry out on warm days.
Coaxial cable set 8 m
The set comprises an 8 m long coaxial cable with pre-fitted connectors at both ends. This set can be used to relocate the Premium antenna, if necessary, to a spot where the RF range is optimal.
