Installation

1. Apply duct sealant to the male fitting
2. Insert the male spigot into the female fitting
3. Apply aluminium duct sealing tape over the joint for an airtight seal
4. Alternatively, use self-sealing fittings to speed up installation and facilitate easy dismantling

Insulation of Ductwork

• Cold Areas – Ducts located in cold areas, such as loft spaces, should be insulated with 25mm thick duct wrap with thermal conductivity of 0.04W/(m.k) or less
• Warm Spaces – Insulation is also required on intake and exhaust ducts carrying cold air through warm spaces. Use 25mm duct wrap with a silver foil face over 25mm rockwool
• Building Regulations – Note that foil wrap with air bubbles (bubble wrap) is no longer acceptable for compliance
